Missing Georgia children, mother found safe as kidnapper remains at large

UPDATE

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- The Georgia man and two young children who authorities issued a Levi's Call and Amber Alert for have been found, Fox 5 reports.

They had been abducted at knifepoint from their home in Powder Springs early Monday morning.

The mother and children were found safely in Jasper but the suspect, 22-year-old Armando Portilla, is still at large.

The GBI asks anyone with information about Portilla's whereabouts to contact the Powder Springs Police Department at 770-943-1616 or call 911.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- An Amber Alert has been issued for two missing Powder Springs children who were abducted early Monday.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Georgia State Patrol have also issued a Levi's Call for the children.

Officers say that Scarlet and Kael Lira, both 2-years old, were allegedly abducted by 22-year-old Jose Portillo around 1 a.m. Monday.

The children's mother, Yajaria Ramirez, is also believed to be with them.

Both children have black hair. Lira was last seen in a pink dress while Kael was in a gray long sleeve shirt and dark green pants.

Portillo is 5'10 and weighs 170 pounds.

They are believed to possibly be headed to California in a 2016 white Kia Sorrento with Georgia tag CAP7259.
