JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials say Interstate 80 eastbound in Jefferson County is closed after a commercial vehicle crashed in a construction zone, spilling about 100 gallons of fuel.
A hazardous materials team is on the scene cleaning up, but officials say I-80 east won’t reopen until about 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The eastbound lanes are closed between Hazen, exit 81, and Reynoldsville, exit 86.
According to PennDOT:
Traffic will be detoured from Interstate 80 East, exit 81, to SR 28 North to Brockway, and then to SR 219 to Dubois, re-reentering Interstate 80 East at Falls Creek, exit 97.
Officials haven't confirmed any injuries or what caused the crash.
