FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) — A woman in South Carolina has been arrested and charged in a hit-and-run that killed two men last weekend.
Florence police told news outlets that Lauren Alexis Green of Florence has been arrested and charged in the wreck around 3 a.m. Saturday. Green turned herself in to officers on Monday. She is charged with two counts of leaving the scene involving death.
Police say the two Florence men were riding a moped when it was hit by a car they say Green was driving.
Thirty-eight-year-old Terod Williams and 50-year-old Edward Beck died in the crash.
It was not known if Green has an attorney yet who could comment on the charges.
