Authorities are investigating the possible link between a missing Robeson County deputy's daughter and skeletal remains found earlier this week.

The dental records of a former Robeson County deputy’s daughter who has been missing since 2015 have been sent to Raleigh to see if skeletal remains found earlier this week is that of hers, according to Maj. Damien McLean with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

The remains were found in the Rex community of Robeson County.

McLean said they sent the records of Sara Nicole Graham, 18, who has been missing since February 4th 2015 around 6:30 a.m. when she left her home on Centerville Church Road in the Fairmont community to drive to work at the Walmart in Pembroke, but never showed up for work.

Graham is the daughter of a Robeson County Sheriff's deputy and had moved to the area from Texas about six months ago, according to officials with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

McLean said they sent records of other missing people as well to be used to help identify the the remains.

“Yes, we did send her records. However, we are currently collecting other records as families come forward. However, we can’t confirm the identity or sex of the remains at this time," said McLean. "We will acknowledge any other family who requests for their missing loved ones dental records to be compared or any records that we feel may need to be compared."
