Goshen City Council candidate seeks recount after losing by 2 votes

The tight race for Goshen City Council's 3rd District is headed for a recount.

Democrat Jennifer Shell tells us she will be seeking that recount after losing the race to Republican Matt Schrock by just two votes.

This would be the first recount in Elkhart County in more than a decade.

The margin wasn't as small back in 2007. The same race had a difference of just four votes.

The county clerk has been anticipating this move, which could decide the balance of power on Goshen's City Council.
