Louisiana truck honors Birmingham fallen officer

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- A Louisiana trucking company has wrapped a Freightliner Cascadia with the names of fallen police officers.

Birmingham Police Sergeant Wytasha Carter's name is on the truck.

Frisard's Trucking Company in Gramercy, Louisiana tells ABC 33/40 News they hope the "Fallen But Never Forgotten" truck reminds people how many police officers lose their lives each year while protecting their community.

Plans for the tribute truck include a stop in the Magic City. No date has been set.

Next year, the 2019 names will be placed on a plaque and relocated to the back of the Freightliner making way for the 2020 names.
