Nebraska-based AMCON Distributing Company has made a strategic investment in a local convenience store supplier.

Team Sledd owners Rob Sincavich and Randy Emanuelson will still have a majority interest -- and employment will not change.

But the reach of the company will.

“It will allow us to broaden our geographic reach,” Sincavich said. “They currently serve 24 states; we serve 7.”

AMCON will also bring a big boost to the local economy with customers and employees from all over the country expected to spend time training at the Wheeling facility.

“They'll support the local economy, hotels, restaurants. They also intend to bring customers from across 24 states into the Wheeling market as well. Additionally, it will provide upward mobility for our employees,” Sincavich said.

With this partnership, Sincavich and staff have big plans when it comes to the next 5 years, to establish Team Sledd as the preeminent convenience store supplier in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic Region.

Right now, Team Sledd serves about 2,100 stores. AMCON works with 4,100.
