West Virginia Northern Community College has new, cutting-edge technology to offer to students.

The college has purchased an anatomage table, an 8-foot, virtual dissection table with touch screen technology.

Students can learn about muscles, body parts, and even see how blood flows.

“It's so much more beneficial for them to actually play with them on the table, versus just looking at them in a book," said Bonnie Peterman, division chair, Allied Health Programs.

"Before I go to the OR, I like to come in here, from my perspective sit down, look at everything from the anamatoge table, and it helps me out a lot,” said Angela Evans, a surgical tech major at the school.

WVNCC is only the second school is West Virginia to get this technology.
