Wreaths to be placed on veterans' graves throughout the Ohio Valley

News9 is everywhere. — This holiday season we remember, honor and teach by participating in Wreaths Across America, a program that honors our veterans, those who serve and their families.

For the last 6 years, Chambers and James Funeral Home has been a part of the program, and this year is no different.

In honor of Wreaths Across America Day which is Saturday Dec. 14th, ceremonial wreaths will be laid at three sites. There are seven wreaths for each branch of service plus prisoners of war and those missing in action.

“The real reason is this holiday season we get so busy, and we think about sending things to the troops, but with this evergreen wreath, it symbolizes we will forever remember our veterans, our soldiers and their families,” said Volunteer Coordinator Eric Fithyan.
