CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Crews with electric utilities in West Virginia will spend the day Monday repairing power lines and poles damaged in Sunday night’s storms.
As of 9 a.m. Monday, Appalachian Power reported outages of approximately 4,300 customers in 25 counties with the most outages reported in Lincoln, Mercer and Putnam counties.
The First Energy utilities of Mon Power and Potomac Edison reported 1,500 outages in nearly three dozen West Virginia counties Monday morning with the most in Braxton and Harrison counties.
The National Weather Service has wind advisories in effect for the eastern mountain counties and eastern panhandle through the day Monday.
