Total coronavirus tests in West Virginia top 76,000

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The positive test rate fell to 1.96 percent in coronavirus numbers released by the state Department of Health and Human Resources.

There have now been 1,491 confirmed cases in West Virginia since early March following 76,035 tests. The testing numbers have significantly increased in recent weeks but there have ben few positive cases returned. The number of deaths connected to COVID-19 remains at 67.
