Joseph Harrell of Yuma was stopped on Highway 34 at mile post 199 by Trooper Shane Schliesser on a traffic stop. Upon checking, it was found Harrell had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest on failure to appear. He was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail and bond was set at $500.

MARCH 30, 2018

Trooper Jared Woodside stopped a 2008 Ford Focus on Cemetery Road that failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Cemetery Road and S. Douglas Street in Wray. The driver, Tasia Apodaca, 20, of Wray showed signs of impairment. The driver was taken to jail and later released to a sober party. The driver was issued a ticket for DWAI, underage consumption of alcohol and failure to stop at a stop sign. One passenger was charged with underage consumption of alcohol and another was charged with possession of an open alcoholic beverage container.

APRIL 1, 2018

Trooper G.S. Schliesser covered a one vehicle rollover at Yuma County Road CC and Yuma County Rod 27. The vehicle was traveling north on Road CC and began to drift sideways. The vehicle went off the east shoulder into the ditch and slid before rolling 3.5 times. The driver and one passenger, both minors, were taken to the Wray Hospital. The vehicle was towed by JR’s Towing.

APRIL 1, 2018

Cameron Josh of Yuma was driving a 2003 Chevrolet west on West Railroad and turned into a parking area. The driver came to a stop and left the vehicle. The vehicle rolled northeast and the front right of the vehicle hit the front right of a 1995 Dodge pickup which was parked. Both vehicles had slight damage to the front. Trooper G.S. Schliesser covered the accident and there were no charges.
