An Etowah County man head-butted a woman and broke her nose, authorities said.
The Etowah County Sheriff's Office charged 47-year-old Jimmy Lankford with one count of second-degree domestic violence, which is a felony.
The incident happened July 14, according to court records. Investigators said the head-butting happened during an altercation. The victim's identity and relationship to Lankford has not been released.
He was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center July 16 and released the same day after posting $5,000 bond. As a condition of his release, the Piedmont man is to have no contact or communication with the victim or her family.
