A domestic dispute early Tuesday led to a standoff at a Gadsden home where four children were inside with two suspects.

Gadsden police Capt. Paul Cody said patrol officers responded at 12:47 a.m. to White Avenue on a report of a domestic disturbance. Police arrived to find a female victim had fled the residence without her four children, leaving the kids and two men inside.

Officers attempted to make contact with the male suspects but were unsuccessful. The Joint Special Operations Group - made up of Gadsden, Gadsden firefighters, the Etowah County Sheriff's Office and the Etowah County Drug Task Force - was called in to assist.

Both suspects were taken into custody at 3:20 a.m., Cody said. The children were returned to their mother.

Isreal Cortez Cameron, 25, is charged with third-degree domestic violent and obstructing governmental operations. Keanu Kristopher Mims, 22, is charged with obstructing governmental operations. Both remain in the Etowah County Detention Center.
