An Arkansas man is accused of blocking the path of a church bus carrying children while waving a hatchet and knife Sunday.

A 911 caller reported about 10:20 a.m. that a man, later identified as 59-year-old David Lee Lindley, was standing in the intersection of 11th and School streets in Ozark wielding the weapons, according to a news release from the city's Police Department.

The bus and Lindley were gone by the time an officer arrived, but he was eventually located in the basement of a nearby home, the release states. Police noted that the 59-year-old seemed to be "under the influence of something."

As of Tuesday afternoon, he was being held at the Franklin County jail in lieu of $10,000 bond on charges of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a minor, records show.
