Little Rock’s lawsuit claiming mayoral candidates Warwick Sabin and Frank Scott Jr. are violating a city campaign fundraising law should be dismissed, Sabin said in a court-filed response.

Sabin’s attorneys filed a response to the lawsuit on his behalf this week.

The city has no standing to bring the lawsuit, and Sabin is following all applicable state laws by raising money through an exploratory committee ahead of the November 2018 election, his response said.
