“Good evening and welcome to Royal Wakandan Airlines, the world’s safest fleet of Vibranium jets. Today’s nonstop service to Stankonia is now ready to depart.”

That’s the message a fictional flight attendant on Wakandan Airlines Flight 420 greets you with when you press play on #WakandaForeverEver, a new 45-mintue mixtape from DJ and hip-hop producer J. Period. The Brooklyn-based artist is perhaps best known for producing the Hamilton Mixtape and has worked with artists such as The Roots, Mary J. Blige, Nas, Kanye West, and John Legend.

#WakandaForeverEver layers Outkast’s vocals over the score and soundtrack of Black Panther. Audio clips—such as Black Panther director Ryan Coogler talking about the film, Malcolm X’s “The Ballot or the Bullet” speech, and an interview with Tupac Shakur—are also woven in.

So if you ever wanted to know what “ATLiens” sounds like layered over “All the Stars,” or how much an African drum beat ramps up the energy in “Rosa Parks,” take a listen. You can stream it on SoundCloud or download it on J. Period’s website, which includes a bonus track of actor Sterling K. Brown reprising his Black Panther role as N’Jobu to tell an origin story of hip-hop.
