Jefferson City bowling leagues come to California

California Lanes bowling alley has seen a number of teams from Jefferson City come to the alley to play their games after the bowling alley in Jefferson City was damaged by the tornado May 22.

Rob Rimel of California Lanes said around eight teams from Jefferson City have signed up at California. He said that having Jefferson City teams has not affected the California teams.

“All my other bowlers are still here, and they had already had their spots reserved, and I just had the ones from Jeff City come and fill up the rest of the spots,” Rimel said. “I got leagues on every night except for Saturday, and they filled up the empty spots that I had.”

Rimel said there has been a positive effect with the Jefferson City teams coming down.

“I am getting the rest of my spots filled up of course,” Rimel said. “The only bad part is that I will not have room for any more.”
