Colorado Revive 19 will host the only live simulcast of Revive our Hearts Women’s Conference in Colorado Sept. 27 and 28 at Mountain View Core Knowledge School, located at 890 Field Ave. This two-day worldwide conference is all about experiencing the joy of personal revival. The Eastern Fremont County Historical Club for Kids Begins

The Eastern Fremont County Historical Club for local 3rd-5th graders begins its new year for learning about Florence and Eastern Fremont County history. The History Club will be from 10-11 a.m. Sept. 6 at the Florence Pioneer Museum, 100 E. Front St. in Florence. Cost is $1 per weekly session or $25 for the year (September-May). Club meetings will be held at the museum every Friday from 10-11 a.m. Parents must transport their children to and from Club or allow their child to walk or ride a bike home. There will be a media waiver to sign so child’ren’s pictures may be placed in the local media when articles are written about the Club.
The first unit will be about the Native Americans of the area, the Ute Indians. Club members will learn about the Ute territories, culture, teepees and wicci-ups. Registration papers and media waivers will be provided the day of registration or they may be downloaded at www.florencepioneermuseum.org.

Old-Timers Coffee – Eight Mile

The Royal Gorge Regional Museum & History Center will hold an open discussion about living, working and growing up in the Eight Mile area. Longtime residents of Fremont County are welcome to join the discussion about their experiences of Eight Mile over coffee and a light snack. Related documents, images, and objects are encouraged. The discussion will be filmed so it can be added to the oral history collection within the museum. The program will be held at 9 a.m. Sept. 5 in the museum’s program room at 612 Royal Gorge Boulevard and is free and open to the public.
