STIRLING CITY — The historic Stirling City Cemetery will be getting a facelift, thanks to a donation from Sierra Pacific Industries, which will go toward restoration and eventual expansion of the land.

Sierra Pacific donated $2,000 to the Kimshew Cemetery District, which maintains the site. The Diamond Match Co., which originally planned and owned the town of Stirling City, donated the land for the cemetery in 1904.

Sierra Pacific Industries, which now owns the former Diamond Match land, will donate additional land to the town to insure sufficient room for future use.
