Armed with shovels, rakes, and pitchforks, eight of the some 40-member strong group of volunteers of the Chico 5th Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, helped with a community service project at the Durham Cemetery. This was the 12th year running that the cemetery was the recipient for the members’ cooperative effort. The cleanup was part of the national Make-a-Difference Day – but held on Nov. 9 in anticipation of the Veterans Day services to be held two days later.  Shown are, left to right: Norvin Thueson, Mario Bidia, Logan Watts, Marge Redding, Eliza Walters, Kaylee Watts, Annie Bidia, and Nastasha Dodge.
