A suspected motorcycle thief was arrested Thursday night after he tried to sell the stolen bike, unknowingly, to the owner, Hartford police said.

Raekwon Acosta, 21, of Grandview Terrace in Hartford, was charged with third-degree larceny and interfering with police, they said.

Acosta had communicated with the “buyer” online through the letgo mobile app and agreed to meet him at the Noble Gas Station, 3250 Main St., police said. The victim of the theft met him about 8:15 p.m., confronted him about the stolen motorcycle and called police.

The motorcycle had been stolen on July 18 in Bridgeport, police said.
