One woman was in custody after Los Angeles police pursued a possibly stolen vehicle on the streets of Wilmington on Wednesday, Dec. 12, authorities said.

About 4:40 p.m., officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Bureau began pursuing the BMW 5 Series in Wilmington, Lt. David Hwang said. It wasn’t immediately known where in Wilmington the pursuit started.

The vehicle stayed in Wilmington throughout the chase, Hwang said, and the female driver ultimately surrendered to Los Angeles Harbor Division officers just before 5:30 p.m. in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Fries Avenue.

No further details were immediately available.
