I love Colorado.

I have fished, hiked, climbed and skied from one end of the state to the other, but our Colorado way of life is being threatened.

That’s why I plan to vote for Phil Weiser for attorney general. The folks in Washington seem determined to sell off our public lands and weaken our clean air and water protection. The opposing candidate for attorney general claims there’s not ” scientific consensus on climate change” being caused by man.

With Weiser’s experience as a law clerk for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, as a top advisor to President Barack Obama and dean of University of Colorado law school, he has the legal skills to take the fight against the federal government’s assault on environmental protections in our state … and win.

The current administration is rolling back fuel standards and other measures designed to combat climate change. They are choosing energy that pollutes and harms the environment over the clean energy solutions we need.

They want to open up pristine wild places to oil and gas exploration, threatening wildlife and their habitat. Outdoor recreation is a major driver of Colorado’s economy — more so than extraction industries. The incredible natural beauty or our state is part of who we are.

Will our children and grandchildren be able to enjoy the Colorado we know and love?

Please join me in voting for Phil Weiser for attorney general. He will use the law to fight for our Colorado values.

We have never needed a champion for our environment more than right now.
