RAJOURI, Sept 16: Taking yet another step towards providing better placement opportunities to the students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, the Training & Placement Cell of the university organized a one day On campus Placement Drive for the students of B Tech.
A team of Technical and HR officials of CINIF Technologies Limited, a Chandigarh based Telecom Company were invited to the campus. A large number of final year students faced the selection process which consisted of Group Discussion, Aptitude test, Technical interview and HR interview. After the rigorous selection process, the visiting HR team selected 18 students at a handsome package of Rs 3.6 lakh per annum.
The visiting team was quite impressed by the technical knowledge and communication skills of BGSBU students and expressed their willingness to visit the campus every year and give employment opportunity to the students of BGSBU.
The Sr HR Manager, Aman Singh said that he would recommend BGSBU to his other HR friends in other corporates. The guests complimented that BGSBU had one of the most beautiful campus and was a perfect place to study. They thanked the University for the invitation and hospitality extended.
Prof Javed Musarrat, Vice Chancellor BGSBU interacted with the HR officials and encouraged the participating students. He further added that 100 percent placements of the students of various departments was his aim for which he has already directed the Training and Placement Cell. He said that the students who have passed out from this University or shall be passing out are the ambassadors of BGSBU and it gives him great pleasure to see the students of this University scale new heights in their career.
Prof Iqbal Parwez, Dean Academic Affairs said that such placement events are a regular feature of BGSBU for the students by the University and plans for inviting more good companies have been chalked out.
Prof G M Malik, Dean of Students, emphasized on the importance of campus placements. The event was organized by Training and Placement Cell, headed by Dr Sameer Raina.
