A man was punched in the face and kicked to the ground in an assault outside a Weymouth store.
Police have issued a CCTV image of a man reported to be responsible for the attack and are appealing for information.
The allegedly unprovoked assault occurred outside Home Bargains at the Littlemoor Shopping Centre in Littlemoor Road at 4.08pm on Friday, March 15.
It is reported the victim was entering the store when the suspect shouted at him, saying his dog had attacked the suspect’s child. The suspect then punched the victim in the face and kicked him to the ground.
The victim, a local man aged in his 50s, lost a tooth in the incident.
Police Constable Carl Wood, of Weymouth police, said: “This was an unprovoked and nasty assault on a man. As part of my investigation I have obtained a CCTV image of the suspect and I would ask anyone who knows who he is to please contact Dorset Police.
“This incident happened in a busy area and I would also urge anyone who witnessed the incident and has yet to speak to officers to please come forward.”
