As Take That announce their return to the city in 2019, Mark Owen recalls two nights he will never forget at 'iconic' Carrow Road.

The band announced a greatest hits tour on Friday morning which includes the home of Norwich City on Thursday, May 30.

This is the second time Take That will be at the ground as they also performed for two nights in June 2017.

Mark Owen remembers the concerts well and the image of Norwich City Hall's clock tower against the night sky will 'stick with [him] forever',

Mark said: 'It was a great venue and we really enjoyed Carrow Road - we had to come back to Norwich.

'It was amazing to go to the city for the first time and we had a really warm welcome.

'I remember the beautiful clock tower ticking up there and it was an open night and I could see the moon and it will stick with me forever.

'It's really iconic as a stadium and you go to newer venues and it doesn't have the same energy and iconic history attached to it.

'There was something really special about playing there.'

The Norwich concerts were the last dates of the tour and they held their end of tour party in the county too.

He also remembers the Norwich crowd being very loud.

'We stayed in lovely hotel - I'm not sure where it was but there were lots of deer and it was beautiful in the countryside.

'I'd like to go to the beach when I'm here and I'd like to bring by dogs but don't think I'll have a chance on tour.

'In Norwich there was no politeness as if to say if you want to get through you'll have to go through me and people were very excited.'
