HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police responded to an odd call at St. Andrews Church at Queen Emma Square Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3 p.m., police say the received a call of a person stuck in an air duct at the church. Firefighters and police responded and found a woman on the roof.

For almost two hours, authorities worked to negotiate with her to come down from the roof. At one point, she was seen ripping shingles off the church’s roof.

She safely came down with assistance just before 5 p.m.

The woman will be evaluated and placed in police custody. Police say she faces criminal property damage charges.

No word on how she got up there or why she was there to begin with.
