Jingle Rock Run
Sunday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m.
’Tis the season to be jolly, and joining in on this festive fundraiser is more than just a fun way to get some cardio in—it’s also an opportunity for you to help spread joy to local kids facing critical illnesses. Runners, walkers, parents, kids and even dogs are invited to don their best holiday garb and participate in the 5K run, which starts at Hawai‘i State Capitol and loops around the beautiful lighted displays of the Honolulu City Lights. All proceeds will help Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i continue its mission to strengthen and empower Hawai‘i’s critically ill keiki.

Stick Figure and Pepper
Thursday, Dec. 13, at 8 p.m.
For a meditative evening with bass-heavy, rootsy reggae music, catch a couple of the genre’s biggest names this Thursday at The Republik. Stick Figure, which has toured with big names Slightly Stoopid and Rebelution, brings its blend of roots reggae and dub in soulful tracks “Weight of Sound” and ”Smokin’ Love.” The band is joined by Kailua-Kona’s reggae-rock group Pepper, with band members performing hits “B.O.O.T.” and “Stone Love” for an evening of good vibes.

Hawaiʻi Kai Towne Center Festival of Lights Boat Parade
Saturday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m.
The 22nd annual Festival of Lights Boat Parade will make its way around the Hawaiʻi Kai Marina this Saturday. Every year, neighbors deck their modest boats with lights and props, going all-out to create themed holiday masterpieces for an evening filled with holiday spirit. The event kicks off at 3 p.m. with live music by Uluwehi Young and Dayton Watanabe. Then, at 6 p.m., grab some hot chocolate and blankets and find a nice spot by the marina for a full view of the evening’s main attraction.

Gay Men’s Chorus of Honolulu Presents: Fill My Stocking
Sunday, Dec. 16, at 5:30 p.m.
Like your holidays a little risqué? The Gay Men’s Chorus of Honolulu’s winter concert is guaranteed to make you smile—and probably blush. The merry band of performers is known to put on quite a spectacle, with hoots and hollers from the audience making for a truly jolly celebration.
