HONOLULU Magazine Wins 13 Awards This Season!
The magazine took home local and national prizes for writing, design and general excellence over the past few weeks.
You like us, you really like us! It’s award season for local and national media, and we’re proud to announce that HONOLULU recently received more than a dozen awards.
In late May, HONOLULU took home an award for General Excellence in the 2019 City and Regional Magazine Association Awards in Minneapolis. (Think of it as our version of the Oscars.) Competing against other city and regional magazines in the nation, HONOLULU was named a finalist for General Excellence in our category. CRMA says, “General Excellence winners are honored for consistently high-caliber work in all aspects of journalism: writing, editing, photography, illustrations, other art and design. Winners should show a sense of community connection and service.”
HONOLULU also took home 12 awards at the Society of Professional Journalists Hawai‘i Chapter’s annual Excellence in Journalism Awards on June 14. Here’s your chance to read (or reread) them all.
