A LANDMARK Belfast hotel has announced the completion of a £500,000 refurbishment.

As of a major investment at the Europa Hotel, the Lobby Bar has been transformed and the Piano Restaurant has been fitted with new banquette seating to enhance the private dining offering and accommodate afternoon tea through an increased capacity for up to 120 guests.

The hotel's Grand Ballroom has also been modernised to include new mirrored panelling.

Europa Hotel general manager, James McGinn said they are thrilled to have completed the renovation programme.

“As part of this, the Lobby Bar has been redesigned with contemporary interiors, luxurious seating, bespoke, statement light fittings and a new kitchen with the capacity increased to accommodate up to 120 guests. It’s now the perfect space for people to enjoy a leisurely bite to eat, drinks on a Friday evening after work or a relaxing Saturday afternoon listening to the live jazz."

"Our new executive head chef, Kyle Greer, has created seasonal menus which for the first time in the Europa Hotel includes a sumptuous Tapas offering in the evening. We have also modernised the interior of the Grand Ballroom and added seating and increased the capacity in the Piano Restaurant," Mr McGinn said.

It is the ongoing investment from Hastings Hotels that enables us to remain one of the world’s most famous award-winning hotels, renowned for our excellent reputation and hospitality,” James concluded.

The Europa Hotel is part of the Hastings Hotels group. The group also owns the five-star Culloden Estate and Spa, the new 300-bed Grand Central Hotel, the four-star Stormont hotel, Slieve Donard Resort and Spa in Newcastle, the four star Everglades Hotel in Derry and Ballygally Castle on the north coast.
