WEST FRANKFORT, IL (KFVS) - Authorities in Franklin County have identified the suspect who was arrested in connection with the overnight shooting in rural West Frankfort.

According to the sheriff’s office, 31-year-old Kyle C. Huetsch, of West Frankfort, was arrested in connection to the shooting on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

He has been charged with aggravated battery and is being held without bond in the Franklin County Jail.

The victim is out of surgery and is recovering in an area hospital.

32-year-old Brianne L. Deason was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The West Frankfort Police Department and Illinois State Police are currently assisting in the investigation.
