Sheep Go to Work to Prevent Fires Around Carson City

“Carson Now,” is reporting that as we are on the cusp of fire season in Northern Nevada, a team of wildfire preventers are again at work. They are sheep from the Borda Family Lamb Ranch. That’s a 100 year old business that has been used for years to reduce fire damage, by munching down dry grasses on hillsides around Carson City. They’re expected to graze on about 2,000 acres this season, and have been working this week behind the Greenhouse Garden Center.
