PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) - A 57-year-old Petersburg man died Tuesday night after a motorcycle crash on I-95.

Police say Keith Gerrard Blount fell off his bike and was hit by a car around 7:30 p.m. near exit 52 in Petersburg.

According to witnesses, another vehicle hit the bike and dragged it farther down the road.

Blount died at the scene.

This crash happened when severe weather moved through earlier, but police haven't said yet if weather was a factor.

Throughout the area on Tuesday night, flooding was a big problem.

A BMW was pulled out of flood waters just off Hull Street in South Richmond. The Richmond Fire Department Water Rescue Team saved the driver who was trapped inside his vehicle. The driver was OK.

Also on the southside, a Lexus suffered a similar fate. People on Bainbridge near 20th say the water receded quite a bit, but police still had the street shut down until they could get the car out of the water. Thankfully, in this case too, the driver is okay.
