Nearly 100 pounds of marijuana found in Wichita Falls traffic stop

WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Wichita County Sheriff Deputies say two people are behind bars after a traffic stop in Wichita Falls.

Deputies pulled over the car in the area of US-287 and Loop 11 at around 7:00 Wednesday evening.

The driver, 30-year-old Ricardo Cabrera and passenger, 30-year-old Heather Vaughn were both arrested for possession of over fifty pounds of a controlled substance. Both have a Dallas address listed on their Wichita County Jail inmate roster.

Deputies say they found 92.4 pounds of hydroponic marijuana as well as 19 grams of a controlled substance in penalty group 2.

As of Thursday afternoon, both Cabrera and Vaughn remain in the Wichita County Jail with bonds of $20,000 each.
