A Jefferson City woman has been charged with trying to run over another woman with her vehicle.
Megan Branch, 28, is charged with two counts of first-degree assault and one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance.
The incident occurred Friday in the 800 block of Broadway Street, according to a Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement.
An officer reported seeing Branch attempt to run over another woman.
The alleged victim said Branch had pulled up to where she and a man were and started to argue with them. During the argument, Branch allegedly tried to run over the woman with her vehicle.
The landlord of a nearby property provided officers access to security camera footage of the area, and the video reportedly shows Branch attempting to run the woman over and the vehicle touching the man's leg.
When Branch was taken into custody, officers reported, they found her in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
