Powerball 2/17/18 winning numbers, live lottery results for Saturday's $223M drawing

The winning Powerball numbers from Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, are: 13, 26, 39, 44 and 62. The Powerball is 2.

The Powerball jackpot climbed back over the $200 million mark -- to $223 for Saturday's drawing.

It was held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and WPVI-6 in Philadelphia.

The cash option for Saturday's drawing is $132.7 million.

No one has won the jackpot since Jan. 6 when a $559.7 million ticket was sold in New Hampshire. The woman who says she holds the lucky ticket has filed a lawsuit seeking to remain anonymous when she claims the big prize.

Referred to as "Jane Doe" in court papers, the woman says she signed the back of the ticket as instructed, but now wants to remove her name and let a trustee sign it. New Hampshire lottery officials say changing the signature would invalidate the ticket.

A person who wins a jackpot in New Jersey can't claim the winnings anonymously but could go through a complicated process to establish a trust or start a limited liability corporation.

The Powerball jackpot was hit seven times last year. Six have been identified and all have claimed their winnings. The winner of a $435.5 million jackpot in Indiana chose to remain anonymous. Indiana is one of a select group of states where winners can opt not to be named.

A Powerball ticket costs $2. The odds of hitting the jackpot are 292,201,338 to 1. Players have roughly a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to win the second prize of at least $1 million.

Drawings are held on Wednesday and Saturday. The game is offered in 44 states, the Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
