A MAGA-loving lunatic who punched a Mexican man and shoved him onto the train tracks in Union Square spouted some of President Trump’s most-repeated anti-Mexican lines during the racist attack, cops said Sunday.
“You come here and you take our jobs,” charged the attacker, who was sporting a red “Make America Great Again” hat and shirt. “You bring drugs.”
The onslaught of derogatory statements began when both men were riding an uptown No. 4 train Friday, according to police. At Union Square, the Trump-loving maniac, who is black, followed the victim off the train, punched him repeatedly in the head and pushed him onto the train tracks about 8:15 p.m.
In speeches after announcing his candidacy, Trump often blamed Mexicans for stealing American jobs. “They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists,” he said in a rambling tirade at Trump Tower in June 2015.
The victim in Friday’s attack went to Bellevue Hospital to treat a cut to his head after a friend and a good Samaritan helped him back onto the platform, authorities said.
Cops released surveillance video of the suspect Saturday and are asking the public’s help tracking him down. They are investigating the attack as a hate crime.
The suspect is described as having a dark complexion and heavy build and was wearing, in addition to the red “Make America Great Again” hat and shirt, blue jean overalls, a black 3/4-length jacket and jewelry around his neck.
