With UCLA set to host Arizona State on Saturday at the Rose Bowl, the Pasadena Quarterbacks Club will welcome Al Luginbill, diretor of player personnel for the Arizona State football team, as the keynote speaker at its weekly luncheon Friday.

The Pasadena Quarterbacks Club is located at the University Club at 175 N. Oakland in Pasadena. The doors open at 11 a.m. and the program starts at noon. The cost is $30 for members, $35 for non-members and includes a lunch buffet that starts at 11:30 a.m.

Those who want to attend are encouraged to RSVP or visit pasadenaquarterbacksclub.org.

Luginbill was hired by coach Herm Edwards in 2018. He had been at the school before, serving as the Arizona State defensive coordinator and assistant coach, with two Fiesta Bowl victories on his record.

For the past 12 years he has also owned and operated Fastak Enterprises, a company that specializes in football player evaluation from the high school to NFL level.

“Building an elite college football program begins with talent evaluation,” Edwards said. “Al has been one of the most respected talent evaluators in the game of football for over four decades. He has experience in talent evaluation at every level of football. He’s always been on the cutting edge of talent evaluation, whether it was by creating successful companies or developing concepts such as the annual Under Armour All-American game or NFL football overseas. We are extremely fortunate to have someone of his caliber join our staff.”

Luginbill has also sounded excited about his new role at ASU.

“I am honored to return to ASU, helping Coach Edwards and his fine coaching and support staff elevate the Sun Devil football program,” Luginbill said. “I am very impressed with Coach Edwards and the fine staff he has assembled at ASU. I look forward to working in such a dynamic environment. My family and I have always enjoyed our time on the Tempe campus.”
