Ten people were arrested for prostitution or for patronizing prostitutes in a bust conducted Aug. 16 at the Amystika Spa, located at 658 Route 739 in Blooming Grove Township.

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop R Vice Unit started to investigate the spa in May. Troopers identified several women working there who agreed to perform sex acts in exchange for money, according to the police report.

The spa owner, Lori Possinger, 47; her manager, Patrice Clinton, 36; and two spa workers, Rachel Moore, 34, and Leslie Garrera, 39, are all alleged to have engaged in sexual activity as a business, according to police. Possinger and Clinton were charged with promoting prostitution, a felony.

Possinger was arraigned and posted bail, which was set at $10,000.

Search warrant issued in June

The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at the spa on June 18 by the Vice Unit and the Pike County District Attorney’s Office. Troopers initiated an undercover operation to identify individuals engaged in the illegal patronization of prostitutes.

Four men --- Glenn Khoury, Jason Edson, John Bowker, and Randy Maiella -- were charged when they allegedly attempted to patronize undercover female Troopers in exchange for sex. Andrew Ford and Justin Alunni were charged with patronizing prostitutes under other circumstances.

Both Possinger and Clinton are alleged to have deactivated several Twitter accounts associated with the spa and removed physical evidence from inside the spa during the investigation, according to the police report.
