Police seek gray Acura in Warwick hit-and-run pedestrian crash

Police are looking for a driver who hit a pedestrian near Walmart on the Post Road in Warwick and fled the scene Wednesday night, according to a news release from the Warwick police.

The male pedestrian was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

The man was was crossing the southbound side near 840 Post Road (Walmart) shortly before 9 p.m.

On Thursday, police released a description of the car: a gray 2014-2018 Acura RLX sedan.

"The Warwick Police Department is imploring the operator of this vehicle to turn themselves into the WPD Traffic Unit ASAP," Warwick police said in a news release.

The car fled south on the Post Road, and police have no information about the driver or the license plate number at this time, police said.

A police reconstruction team is investigating the crash.
