Providence man hospitalized after stabbing

PROVIDENCE — City police are investigating an early-morning stabbing that sent a 21-year-old Providence man to the hospital with a stomach wound.

Police were called to 15 Lisbon St. at around 3 a.m. Saturday for a reported stabbing. The unnamed victim was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital. His condition was not available at midday on Saturday, but Lt. Roger Aspinall said it did not appear that his injuries were life-threatening.

Alexia Phasoukvong, 20, of the same address, who police believe to be the victim's girlfriend, was charged with domestic felony assault. She was arraigned by a justice of the peace and released on bail.
