Salem Area Mass Transit District Board of Directors will give the first reading of its proposed ordinance, which includes a new fee schedule.

• The first reading will precede the open comment period. The board will then take public comments in person. Written comments can be submitted until Feb. 28 [email protected].

The ordinance would lower fees for youth riders through new dollars made available by the Oregon Department of Transportation. The last fee change came in 2015. The proposed changes can be found in the meeting agenda.

• The board will also vote on adoption of its 2019 legislative agenda.

If you can’t make it to the meeting in person, you can stream it on YouTube or Facebook.

Meeting details: Thursday, Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m., Senator Hearing Room, 555 Court Street N.E., Salem

Board members: Robert Krebs, Steve Evans, Marcia Kelley, Colleen Busch, Kathy Lincoln, Doug Rodgers and Jerry Thompson.
