FITCHBURG — A city woman was arrested Tuesday after an investigation by state and city law enforcement offficers identified her as trafficking heroin and fentanyl, according to State Police.
Rosemary Delossantos, 29, of Depot Street, according to the release, was arrested by officers with the Police Department and State Police Gang Unit in a parking lot on Whalon Street Tuesday afternoon.
Following the arrest, the officers, along with a State Police narcotics detection K-9 team, executed a search warrant at Delossantos’ apartment.
During the sweep, the K-9 unit showed interest in several locations that allowed the troopers and officers to locate quantities of a heroin/fentanyl mixture and cocaine, as well as several OxyContin pills, according to the release.
In all, the troopers and officers seized more than 300 grams of heroin/fentanyl from Rosemary Delossantos’ residence.
She was booked at the State Police Leominster barracks and charged with three counts of trafficking fentanyl, two counts of trafficking heroin, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and possession of OcyContin with intent to distribute, according the release.
Additional agencies and units assisting in the investigation were the Troop C Community Action Team and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.
