LUNENBURG ” Three teenagers were arrested last week and charged with armed robbery after two of them entered a video game store, threatened employees with a knife and stole three video game consoles, according to court and police documents.

On Thursday at about 5: 15 p. m., police were called to the Gamestop at Lunenburg Crossing for a report of an armed robbery, according to police.

Store employees told police that a Hispanic man wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and a blue face mask, later learned to be Terell D. Phillips, 19, of Fitchburg, walked in the store, went directly to the counter, said police.

Phillips then, said police, told his accomplice, Eric Matos, 19, also of Fitchburg, to lock the store’s door.

At that point Phillips pulled an all- black knife on the clerks at the counter and told them, ” I want all of your PS 4’s,” said police.

Phillips then ordered the store’s employees to the back of the store, grabbed three Playstation 4 game consoles and fled with Matos, police said, which Phillips admitted to after being arrested and interviewed by detectives the following day.

Once Phillips and Matos left the store, Phillips went into the woods and dropped the games consoles and the mask, both police and Phillips said in the investigative report. Those items were later recovered.

During the robbery, said police and Matos admitted when being interviewed, Matos called Michael J. Pimentel, 18, of Fitchburg and told him, ” some ( expletive) happened” and that he needed a ride.

Pimentel, he told police, drove his pick- up to the Asian Imperial and waited for Matos and Phillips, but only Matos arrived.

One of the officers responding to the armed robbery reported that he saw Matos running across Mass. Avenue from the entrance of the Lunenburg Crossing Plaza and then getting into a pick- up truck.

The officer then stopped the truck in the Asian Imperial parking lot and took both into custody.

While being interviewed Matos, told police Phillips was with him during the armed robbery.

Phillips was arrested, said police, and during an interview admitted to the crime.

When arraigned in Fitchburg District Court last week, all three were charged with armed robbery. Pimentel was also charged with accessory after the face and carrying a dangerous weapon, which was a knife police located in his truck.

All three are being held pending a dangerous hearing on Thursday, July 25, according to court documents.
