NORMAN – Oklahoma senior Yul Moldauer sits in second place in the all-around standings after the first day of competition at the U.S. World Team Selection Camp in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

Oklahoma graduate Colin Van Wicklen is in fifth place after day one. Fellow alum Allan Bower did not compete all-around due to a shoulder injury but recorded four top-five event finishes.

“Allan tweaked his shoulder and scratched high bar but hit the other five events. Yul went six-for-six while fighting a cold,” Oklahoma head coach Mark Williams said. “I'm proud of their efforts and looking forward to Saturday's competition.”

Moldauer recorded an 86.100 all-around score with a first-place finish on floor exercise (14.600), second-place spot on still rings (14.250), vault (14.700), parallel bars (14.550) and horizontal bar (13.400), and third-place finish on pommel horse (14.600).

Van Wicklen, currently fifth in the all-around (80.750), claimed first on vault with a 15.000, along with top-five finishes on still rings (13.650) and horizontal bar (12.900). Bower, battling through a shoulder injury, placed in the top five in four of the five events he competed in to record a score of 68.650. He took fourth on floor (14.250) and pommel horse (13.700) and fifth on vault (14.350) and parallel bars (13.350).

Day two of the World Team Selection Camp competition begins Saturday at 4:30 p.m. CT. Fans can watch on the USA Gymnastics YouTube Channel.
