NORMAN - The No. 1 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team showcased its depth Sunday afternoon in a 197.700-197.400 victory over No. 7 Denver as all eight underclassmen competed on at least one event for the Sooners. 

The Sooners took home three event titles with junior Maggie Nichols taking home top marks on bars and beam with matching scores of 9.975. Freshman Olivia Trautman won the vault title with a 9.900. Denver's Lynzee Brown took home floor with a 10.0 and Maddie Karr took home the all-around title with a 39.650. 

OU posted its fifth score of 197.700 or better this season and its second highest beam score with a 49.550. The Sooners won the team event title on three of four events, besting Denver on vault, bars and beam. 

The Sooners put up just five gymnasts on bars but posted a 49.450 to take the lead over Denver after one rotation. Sophomore Anastasia Webb added a 9.9 in the leadoff spot to start the rotation off strong. Nichols anchored with an incredible 9.975 to match her season high.

Making her return to the lineup after a week hiatus, senior Alex Marks posted a 9.850. Sophomore Karrie Thomas added a 9.850 in the No. 3 spot and senior Nicole Lehrmann put up a 9.875 in the No. 4 spot.

Moving to vault, the Sooners used five 10.0 start values to hold on to their lead over the Pioneers. Freshman Olivia Trautman posted the only 9.9 of the meet with a beautiful Yurchenko 1.5 in the No. 5 spot.

Three Sooners posted 9.875s as Lehrmann, junior Jade Degouveia and freshman Allie Stern all competed 1.5s. Webb added a 9.825 in the No. 2 spot.

OU showcased its depth on floor with five underclassmen in the lineup, including all three freshmen. Emma LaPinta showcased her triple full and double back to earn a career-high 9.800 in the No. 4 spot. Trautman earned a 9.925 in the No. 5 spot, while Stern anchored with a 9.750.

Sophomore Jordan Draper led things off with a 9.850, while Webb added a 9.900 in the No. 2 spot. Junior Jade Degouveia, the only upperclassmen in the lineup, tallied a 9.875.

The Sooners finished on beam and closed out the meet on a high note with a 49.550 in the final rotation. Trautman led off with a 9.825 and sophomore Evy Schoepfer made her collegiate debut on the event by posting a career and season high 9.875.

Beam specialist Carly Woodard was phenomenal in the No. 3 spot, tying her career high with a 9.950. Lehrmann tied a career high as well on the event with a 9.925. Anchoring for the Sooners was Nichols who posted a 9.975 for the third week in a row and fourth time this season.

The Sooners return to Oklahoma for the annual Perfect 10 Challenge Friday, Feb 15, at 6:45 p.m. CT. The meet will be held at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
