NORMAN – Freshman Olivia Trautman and sophomore Carly Woodard were named Big 12 weekly award winners, the conference announced Monday.

Trautman (Newcomer of the Week) and Woodard (Event Specialist of the Week) were recognized by the league for their contributions to the Sooners' win over No. 7 Denver Sunday afternoon. The award was the fifth of Trautman's career and second of Woodard's.

Trautman was a crucial part of OU's victory as she was one of just three Sooners who competed on at least three events. The Champlin, Minn., native took home the vault title with a 9.9, the only gymnast of the meet to break the 9.9 mark. The freshman added a team-high 9.925 on floor, her sixth consecutive meet with at least a 9.925 on the event. On beam, she tallied a 9.825 to help Oklahoma to its second highest beam score of the season with a 49.550.

Woodard was honored as the Event Specialist of the Week for the second time in her career. The Overland Park, Kan., native set a season high and tied her career high with a 9.95. Woodard's score was the second best of the meet as she helped the Sooners to a 49.550 on the event.

The Sooners return to Oklahoma for the annual Perfect 10 Challenge Friday, Feb 15, at 6:45 p.m. CT. The meet will be held at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
