Exhibit Columbus, Spanish style

Exhibit Columbus organizers are partnering with Su Casa Columbus for a free event Thursday called “Descubre Exhibit Columbus,” with the Spanish word meaning “discover.”

The gathering is a way to learn about a few of the temporary art and architectural installations in the 2019 exhibition by three participating designers from Mexico: Borderless Studio, Frida Escobedo Studio, and PienZa Sostenible. The tour will begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with traditional Mexican folk dance ensemble Ballet Folclórico. Immediately afterward, each of the studios will present their work and their inspiration behind each installation.

Luis Franco from the Mexican Consulate of Indianapolis will attend.

The exhibition of Exhibit Columbus is free and open to the public from Aug. 24 to Dec. 1.

“It’s another way to be inclusive,” said Ann Surak, Exhibit Columbus’ director of exhibitions.
