NRI woman found dead in Faridabad: London-based woman’s body found in bathtub at a luxury hotel

A Non-Resident Indian woman was found dead inside a room at a luxury hotel in Faridabad's Surajkund. The woman’s body has been sent for post-mortem and the cause of death will be known after the report comes in.

Faridabad: A Non-Resident Indian woman was found lying dead in a five-star hotel here on Friday. Police said the woman, who was based in London, was found dead inside a room at a luxury hotel in Faridabad's Surajkund. An investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of the death. India Today reported that the woman was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room. The report identified the lady as Ritu Kumar. She had checked into the hotel on April 22.

The woman, believed to be in her early forties, was not reachable since Thursday morning. Upon becoming concerned, her family members informed the Haryana police. She was lying dead in the bathtub when the police arrived at the hotel to check on her. A police official said they first searched the room but could not find the lady. They then checked the bathroom and found her lying dead in the bathtub. The woman’s body has been sent for post-mortem and the cause of death will be known after the report comes in.

Her husband is believed to be on his way to India to assist in the probe.
